Marillac
Place has a newly renovated residential
facility, with room for up to 10 young
mothers and 9 infants. Young women ages 16
to 24 may come to live at Marillac Place at
any time during their pregnancy and stay,
after delivery, for up to 12 months along
with their child. During that time, they
receive housing in excellent facilities,
care from professional staff, and access to
our various programs and services.
Our Residence offers the
following:

10 Furnished Bedrooms in a recently
renovated Century old residence offering pre
and post-natal care
In
Addition to this Marillac Place provides the
following supports:

Staff and volunteers
will provide learning opportunities in
daily life skills within the home. This
would include nutrition, cooking,
crafts, hygiene, house cleaning, simple
home maintenance and budgeting.

Residents will be
supervised with regards to receiving the
best prenatal, delivery and postnatal
care the community has to offer.

Residents will be
encouraged and supported in developing a
network of supports within her community
to enhance her parenting skills and
lifestyle for when she moves out on her
own.
We are committed to providing the
opportunities, and encouraging young
mothers that do not have their high
school diploma, to continue their
education. This will be accomplished
within the household using volunteer
tutors, and by liaising with local
schools. We will network with other
agencies such as Ontario Works and LEAP
to make this goal a reality.

Marillac Place will
liaise with other community resources within
our community to assist in pre-natal/post
natal classes, birthing, parenting and
adoption.
